Rita graduated from Arizona State University in December 2000 with a degree in Accounting. In October 2000, she began her work in public accounting at Zobel & Hall PC in Tempe, AZ. Her work consisted mostly of auditing small businesses, employee benefit plans and non-profit organizations. She was also involved in preparing individual and partnership tax returns, as well as informational returns Form 5500 for employee benefit plans and Form 990 for non-profit organizations.
The partners at Zobel & Hall PC sold their practice to Baldwin & Baldwin PLLC in April 2014. Rita followed the original firm and worked at Baldwin & Baldwin PLLC until December 2015. She started her own internet fraud hotline business, Safe Hotline, Inc., in early 2016. While still managing Safe Hotline, Inc., she began working part-time at Premiere Tax & Accounting Services PLLC in September 2016.
Rita obtained her Certified Public Accountant certificate in May 2006 and has maintained its active status since that time. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and a past member of the Arizona State Society of Certified Public Accountants and the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans.
